Fighting Melanoma Together – 1,000 miles for Melanoma

A small team from Where Now Consulting’s is showing its support for Melanoma UK by ditching their cars and public transport and cycling to work, with the goal of raising £1,000 by cycling 1,000 miles before August 1st, 2023.

Melanoma UK is a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by melanoma and raising awareness about this deadly form of skin cancer. Melanoma UK is a cause close to the hearts of the Where Now Consulting. The team is dedicating this challenge to the memory of Rebecca Davis, who sadly passed away from melanoma in 2022 after a long battle against the disease, leaving behind her husband and three children. We are determined to do our part to raise awareness and funds to support the charity’s mission to provide much-needed support and resources to those affected by the disease.

Where Now Consulting’s Managing Director, Mark Spragg, spoke about the team’s enthusiasm for the challenge, saying, “We are all really excited to be taking on this challenge to raise funds for Melanoma UK. It’s great to be able to do something we love while supporting such an important cause.”

The team has been training hard in preparation for the challenge, with many members taking on additional fitness routines and dedicating extra time to cycling. To support Where Now Consulting and Melanoma UK, donations can be made through our JustGiving page with all proceeds going directly to Melanoma UK. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and will help make a difference in the fight against melanoma.

“I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible for this important cause,” added Briege McKinnon. “Every pound donated will make a difference in the fight against melanoma, and I’m grateful for any support that people are able to give.”

Melanoma UK provides vital support to those affected by melanoma, including patients, families, and caregivers. The charity offers a range of services, including information and advice, emotional support, and practical assistance.

Overall, the Where Now Consulting team’s participation in the 1,000-mile charity cycle is a testament to their commitment to supporting important causes and making a positive impact in the world. We wish them the best of luck in their fundraising efforts and hope that their journey inspires others to get involved in supporting the fight against melanoma.
