Scotland’s largest offshore windfarm opens

Scotland’s largest windfarm, the fourth largest in the world, has officially opened. Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm is the largest ever single private investment in Scotland at £2.5 billion, it is predicted to save eight million tonnes of carbon emissions and generate enough energy to power 450,000 homes.

Charting Manchester’s creative industry growth

Research published by Nesta has revealed that the creative industries in the Manchester region are growing at a faster pace than anywhere else in the UK outside of London, with jobs increasing 7,500 (18%) over a two year period.
