£1.2m support package for Glasgow businesses

Glasgow City Council have announced a £1.2 million support package for businesses to support local job creation and economic growth. The Community Business Boost programme will provide part funding of premises costs over a two year period to give new businesses, social enterprises and third sector groups affordable access to accommodation.

New Cheshire lab will boost North West life science industry

GE Healthcare Life Sciences has announced plans to establish an open-access lab at Alderley Park’s Mereside Campus. The facility will help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) accelerate their science through access to advanced technologies, services and expertise from GE Healthcare Life Sciences.

Scottish Government give £1.9m to global social enterprise

The Scottish Government has announced it will provide almost £1.9 million to funding grassroots organisations. The funding will support projects designed to mitigate inequality, tackle climate change and help put social enterprise products on high street shelves.

Approval granted for Manchester Business Park plans

Manchester City Council have approved plans designed to allow the development of Manchester Business Park to continue. The renewal will ‘retain the Park’s status as a strategic site for further new employment development’.
