Savills: Scotland’s property market improvement signals opportunity for Aberdeen

The Savills Aberdeen and North East Residential report has revealed that Aberdeen’s housing market is in recovery following the economic downturn caused by the crash in oil prices in 2014-2015. The report found there had a 6% increase in sales of prime properties, above £400,000 and commuter areas in the year to August.

Largest office investment deal in South Manchester this year completed

The largest office investment deal in South Manchester has been completed, worth £13.85 million. PIN Property completed the sale of No 1 Dovecote to French investor Corum Asset Management, with Cushman & Wakefield having advised on the disposal for PIN Property.

Real estate firm makes five promotions in Scotland

Global real estate agency Cushman & Wakefield has announced three new associate partners and promoted two senior staff within their Scottish business. Mark Finlayson, Marin Speirs and James Woodhead have been promoted to associate partners in the business while Scott Aird and Emma Watson are now senior surveyors.

Queen’s Anniversary Prize awarded to Manchester Institute for Biotechnology for environmental research
