Scottish beer and pubs add £1.6bn to ‘local and national’ economy

A report commissioned by the Scottish Beer and Pub Association (SBPA) has revealed that beer and pub activity adds £166 billion to the Scottish economy and employs over 66,000 people.

Rochdale Council buys Central Retail Park for £13.2m

Rochdale Council has bought the Central Retail Park and its adjoining 4.7 acres of land from Town Centre Securities for £13.2m. The move comes in an attempt to reduce its portfolio of out of town retail sites.
