Internet of Things network nearly full coverage in Glasgow and Edinburgh
The most advanced Internet of Things network in the UK is almost at full coverage in Glasgow and Edinburgh, according to Boston Networks. The company said 99.7% has been achieved in Glasgow and 95% in Edinburgh, offering public and private sector organisations across the Central Belt an opportunity to access smart technologies that deliver cost and time efficiencies and provide data insights at a reduced cost.
‘North set to out-perform South for house price growth over next five years’
The North-South divide in property prices is to continue to narrow over the next five years, according to a new report by Savills. It is forecast that average house prices in the North West are to rise by 24% by 2024 while London is to rise by only 4%.

One in five North West businesses say that automation will be their biggest priority over the next five years
The New Economy: Investing in Automation report by BDO has revealed that senior leaders in the UK expect automation to be pivotal to their businesses and employees’ development over the next year. In the North West, businesses have embraced automated technology with 25% of CFOs and FDs reporting that they are already using robotics in some form.
