Scottish Trust Deed, a financial consultant based in Scotland, has revealed Scotland’s top insolvency hotspots from 2018 in a report. The report highlighted that Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee has the highest number of bankruptcies.

Manchester’s residential sector is booming

Commercial real estate services firm JLL has revealed there has been a spike in Manchester’s residential sector with a 117% increase in demand for apartments compared to the same period last year.

Scottish economy grows faster than original estimates

Scotland’s finance secretary has revealed that its economy is expanding faster than the rest of the UK after revised figures showed indicated higher growth than estimated, however this could be jeopardised by a no-deal Brexit.

High-profile entrepreneurs in the North West region, including former Tesco boss and founder of the William Currie Group, are backing a venture in Manchester. Already established in Liverpool, Nova has opened a second centre at Accelerate Places Manchester, in which it will provide start-up mentorship and investment to create successful tech start-ups.
