Scottish confidence rises but still trails the rest of Britain
New research has found that business confidence in Scotland has risen but still remains at the lowest level in the UK. The Bank of Scotland Business Barometer, which measures the views of 1,200 business each month, indicated that overall confidence rose by 15 points to -3%, in contrast to the overall confidence of companies across the UK which rose by four points to stand at 6%.
UK businesses should focus more on tackling internal fraud
According to a new study by Duff & Phelps subsidiary Kroll, nearly four in ten businesses have been affected by internal fraud in the last 12 months, with data leaks, thefts and third-party leakages being the most common types of fraud.

Fall in number of workers earning below living wage
The number of workers earning less than the real living wage in Scotland has dropped by 13% in the last year, with an estimated 380,000 employees earning below the threshold, according to new research by KPMG. The improvement is better than the UK as a whole which saw a decline of 10% earning below the threshold.

Tech Nation to support growth of UK LawTech with £2 million of government funding
The Ministry of Justice has announced it has allocated £2 million in Government funding to Tech Nation to support the digital transformation of the UK legal sector and create a climate to support the development and use of UK legal technology.
