Public sector awards consulting contracts worth £1.3 billion

The UK’s public sector awarded more than 700 consulting contracts, totalling over £1.3 billion, in the first seven months of 2019. Analysis by Consultancy.uk in collaboration with Tussell, revealed the biggest contracts typically involved the Foreign Office, DERFRA and the MoD.

No Deal Brexit could slash Scottish house prices by 6%, says report

House prices in Scotland could fall by 6% if Britain crashes out of the European Union without a deal, according to new research from KPMG. The professional services firm also said that it was ‘not out of the question’ for house prices to fall 10 to 20% by the end of 2020 if the market reacts more strongly than anticipated.

Superfast broadband for Greater Manchester region

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has revealed plans for a multi-million pound plan to introduce a super-fast broadband network in the region, to have the ‘best digital infrastructure in the UK’ by 2021 and boost the city region.
